Heather Matthews is an artist from Fort Collins, Colorado. She started thinking of herself as an Artist (with a capital A) in 2008, began art school at Colorado State University in 2013 once class per semester, and graduated with a BFA in Studio Art--Fibers concentration in 2021.
She works primarily as a weaver, but also enjoys drawing, painting, assemblage, and sewing. In 2023, she started Kestrel Fields Studio, which is an art residency, gallery space, and art coaching business in Fort Collins.

Welcome to a space designed for creativity to flourish; the following is a recount of Spindler’s experience as she takes refuge on the Mesa.
Exploring things that I have saved, avoided, and have yet to discover, I find myself rethinking how I value this time and place. I need a break from teaching and everyday demands to rejuvenate, and that is what is the most valuable.
